Over 50s Match 09/09/2021 – Skylark
With some new F1’s being introduced into the lake, some people were intrigued as to how it would fish! Winner on the day was Mick Balls (Westwood Lakes) from peg 35. Mick had caught both carp and the new F1’s on maggots short, and maggots over groundbait down the edge. Come the weigh in, Mick has weighed 145lb 8oz, just pipping Philip Lakin (Westwood Lakes) into second with a weight of 142lb 12oz. Philip has adopted similar tactics to Mick, however seemed to tempt some of the lakes larger carp. Finally, completing the frame was ever consistent Richard Kinnersley (Westwood Lakes), who’s caught mainly the new F1’s with a good run of carp in the last 20 mins to weigh 111lb 12oz!
