Open Match 04/05/2021 – Swallow
With gale force winds and rain showers scheduled for the whole day the anglers were unsure as to how the lake was going to fish. Taking full advantage of peg 5, Steve Reid (Drennan RAF) fished a feeder most of the day towards the far bank margins to land mainly small stockies with a few big f1s for a weight of 110lb 2oz. In second place from peg 33 was Davis Gurton (Westwood Lakes). Like Steve, Davis has caught most of his fish toward the island on a feeder. He’s weighed a steady 84lb beating Richard Kinnersley (Westwood Lakes) into third with a weight of 54lb 4oz.
