Open Match 03/10/2021 – Skylark
With the weather cooling rapidly, and large amounts of rain going into the lakes over the last week, it did impact the fishing, however a cautious approach lead to bites for most of the anglers. Tony Evans (Westwood Lakes) took top honours on the day, landing 80lb 12oz of F1’s and Carp. Tony fished maggots and pellets on a couple of pole lines from peg 17 to steadily land fish all day. In second position from peg 33 was Billy Marlow (Hooks2go). Billy has alternated 4 lines for the first part of the match with pellets before going down the edge in the last hour to steadily catch F1’s. He’s finished with a weight of 70lb 10oz. Finally, completing the frame from peg 27 was Paul Oglesbee (Westwood Lakes) with a weight of 68lb 8oz!
