IMPORTANT BARBEL NOTICE!!!

IMPORTANT BARBEL NOTICE!!!
FOR ALL PLEASURE AND MATCH ANGLERS!!!

Due to the warm weather and low water on the complex caused by no rain and heat. We are putting a ban on any barbel caught going into the keepnets, until further notice.

If any open match or club anglers are found to have barbel in their nets they will be asked to not come back to the fishery again, as the fishes health is our main concern.

When Barbel are caught they must be held in a landing net at the edge of your swim and given enough time to recover. This may take as long as 20 minutes. You will know when they are recovered as they will push against the landing net and become more active.

This applies to all anglers, regardless if you are in a match or just a pleasure angler.

Do not walk around with any fish regardless of size, always stay at your peg.
If you feel the need to photograph a fish, this must be done in a crouching or sitting position and over an un-hooking mat. No standing up with fish to take photos, and the photo must be taken as quickly and safely as possible.

This applies to all our lakes, and failure to follow the above will result in fish fatalities and the angler banned indefinitely!

Thank you.
