Sunday 31st August 2014 (22 anglers) Swallow Lake
Swallow Lake was used today for the Open Match. With a big head of silverfish presence and Carp all in double figures it gave the anglers something to think about how they approached this lake. Mick Stamp (Sonubaits/Preston) Peg 13 won with 77lbs 0oz. Mick caught mainly Roach, Skimmers and a few Tench along with a double figure Carp using red maggot. In second was Paul Harsley (Daves Peg) Peg 14 with 69lbs 2oz. Third placed angler was John Somersham (Westwood Lakes) Peg 7 with 66lbs 12oz. This could prove to be a good lake for silverfish matches during the Winter.
