Well it looks like summer is on its way not just with the weather but the fishing as well. Steve Lane (Westwood Lakes) made his mark today by fishing paste on a top kit on peg 8 to be ahead of everyone else by 40lb. Steve caught a mixture of carp and f1’s to 3lb to finally weigh 146lb 14oz for the match win and a place in the final. In joint second was Janusz Kedzierski (Westwood Lakes) and Tony Evans (Westwood Lakes) with 104lb 8oz. With Janusz fishing down the edge on soft pellets on peg 26 and Tony fishing tight across on soft pellets from peg 46.
