With some anglers staying on for the Maver Match This Qualifier on the Saturday, 18 anglers turned out for the Open Match on Skylark Lake. James Howarth (Tricast Highfield) Peg 10 weighed 103lbs 4oz to qualify for the two day £1000 Final in September. James fished tight across on pellet to catch Carp, F1’s and Barbel. In second was Carl Hopps (Westwood Lakes) Peg 27 with 98lbs 10oz. Third placed angler was Simon Beswick (Westwood Lakes) Peg 11 with 95lbs 9oz.
