Russ Downing (Westwood Lakes) took top honours on the day from peg 49! Russ has fished maggots on a short pole line as well as pellets down the edge to finish with a strong run of fish. Come the weigh-in, he’s amassed 130lb 8oz of F1’s and stockie Carp. Taking second spot was Alan Sharp (Westwood Lakes). Alan has fished short pole tactics to land mainly F1’s. He drew peg 30, and took full advantage of the spare pegs, to finish with a weight of 119lb 6oz. Finally, completing the frame from peg 27 was Mick Sweetman (Westwood Lakes). Mick has fished pellets on a short pole to keep bites coming throughout the day and finish with 117lb 6oz!
