The first Maver Match This Qualifier to be held at Westwood Lakes see 107 anglers take to the banks of Skylark, Hawk, Osprey and Falcon Lake. Osprey Lake was were most anglers wanted to draw after some big weights had been recorded mid-week on this lake. Over on Falcon Lake Lee Cowlan (Miracle Baits) was on Peg 45. Lee started off by fishing across to the island, before switching to the margins and fishing a top kit to amass a total weight of 135lbs 3oz of mainly F1 Carp on pellet, and book his place for the final at Larford Lakes. Local 17 year old Adam Swain (Sensas A4) was on Peg 8 of Osprey and was giving a masterclass of shallow fishing, before his swim died. Adam still managed to put 126lbs 10oz of F1 Carp on the scales to be second and qualify for the British Pole Champs. Third placed angler was James Dent (MAP) on Peg 24 Falcon Lake with 124lbs 7oz.
