Kingfisher Lake is the original lake at Westwood and holds the largest fish in the complex. It boasts massive stocks of carp, tench and bream, along with other species.
I tend to target the larger carp, tench and bream by fishing my own branded Miracle paste or a Miracle Baits white snowball either close in to the margins or across to the islands. I keep this as simple as I can by feeding 4mm fishery pellets little and often.
Rig wise I use a 0.6g float with 0.21mm mainline and a 6 inch 0.18mm hook length completed with a size 12 Mustard hook matched up to a 18 elastic.
The second method I employ is pellet fished on the deck or shallow. A 6mm explander either natural or a white snowball 6mm work a treat for fishing at depth or a 6mm banded hard pellet set at around 2ft deep. Loose feeding 4mm or 6mm fishery pellets every 30 seconds. Tapping or slapping also works when they really are having it!
All these methods have their day - so give it a try.
